Bethany Fund Project

 

CARES Chicago's Bethany Fund Project The Bethany Fund Project provides paid work experience training/ paid internships to adults with disabilities and other barriers to employment who reside in or work in five targeted West Side communities. These targeted communities are Austin, East Garfield Park, West Garfield Park, Humbolt Park and North Lawndale.

Bethany Fund Project The overall goal of the project is for all participants to obtain, unsubsidized employment in the field in which they have successfully obtained a credential or certificate. In this effort, participants are given financial support in the form of a training stipend to be paid to the consumer for hours trained at a rate of $10.00/hour , not to exceed 400 total hours. And transportation assistance, uniforms, shoes and other work attire can are provided as needed.  Companies benefit through the ability to recruit and retain prescreened, well-qualified and motivated workers.  CARES Chicago takes careful preparation in matching applicant skills to the need of the current employment market.

 

Services Include:

 

On-going case management

Career counseling, job readiness training, job club, job search assistance, placement and other supportive services designed to ensure successful outcomes will be provided throughout the duration of the project.
