CARES Chicago is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with barriers to employment enter or re-enter the workforce.

CARES Chicago has achieved a high level of success by establishing solid relationships with local employers. We meet employers' needs more effectively by helping individuals define the skills they can master. We match job seekers with employers' hiring needs through a sophisticated process of skills analysis and job matching. This provides the people we serve with a healthier sense of direction and confidence. As a result, satisfied workers make greater contributions to the organization and become long- term employees.

Assessment to determine the interests and aptitudes of each individual served.

Work Readiness to ensure that each individual is properly prepared to perform the job in which he or she will be placed.

Job Development to provide jobs that will be available when needed.

Placement to match the job to the individual client.

Job Modification to adapt job requirements to individual capabilities when necessary.

Follow-Up to ensure that the placement is satisfactory both to the employee and the employer.

Job Retention support up to one year to ensure success.

Support Services to solve any problems that might affect the ability of the individual to succeed.
